In May of each year Clearwater County sponsors a Roadside Cleanup Campaign.  Benefits of the campaign include:
  • Contributes to a cleaner environment
  • Teaches participants to appreciate their environment
  • Gives participants a sense of accomplishment
  • Promotes awareness for your club or group
  • Raises funds for group or club activities
This program is for community groups, with priority given to youth groups, and involves cleaning a section of roadside in Clearwater County. Each community group receives $600.00 per section cleaned – there will be 38 road sections available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Registration for route/section selections will take place ONLINE beginning Monday, April 30, 2018 at 8:00 a.m. (see below for registration form). Applicants are asked to indicate first, second, third, and fourth choices for road sections. Section selection will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Once routes/sections are assigned, the County will contact the "group contact” to advise of section allotment and coordinate material pickup and contract signing. Traditional in-person sign up will be available after May 1.

NOTE: Safety vests, gloves, garbage bags and signs are provided by Clearwater County.

For further information contact Annie Bertagnolli at abertagnolli@clearwatercounty.ca or phone 403-845-4444.
