Public Hearings
Public hearings are an opportunity for people who are affected by projects or proposals to address Clearwater County Council during regular Council meetings. Public hearing are required by the Municipal Government Act (MGA) as part of the adoption or amendment process for statutory plans, the Clearwater County's Land Use Bylaw, or as necessary.
NEW! Public hearing participants can now speak in favour or in opposition of a bylaw by joining the hearing online.
Historically, interested parties have had to speak in person in Council Chambers. Now they can choose between appearing in person or online.

Development Permit Approvals
The following development permits have been approved or conditionally approved under the provisions of Clearwater County's Land Use Bylaw.
Anyone claiming to be affected by such decision may appeal the decision by serving written notice of appeal within twenty-one (21) days of the date of the decision.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Development Officer or the Municipal Planning Commission of Clearwater County has approved the issuing of development permits for the following Permitted uses:
Development Permit 08/26 Ward 4 Eric and Erika Thorvaldson for the construction of a dwelling – single detached as the second residence on a parcel greater than 80 acres on NW 34-36-07-W5M. Date of Decision: February 2, 2026
