Public Hearings


Public hearings are an opportunity for people who are affected by projects or proposals to address Clearwater County Council during regular Council meetings. Public hearing are required by the Municipal Government Act (MGA) as part of the adoption or amendment process for statutory plans, the Clearwater County's Land Use Bylaw, or as necessary.

Development Permit Approvals


The following development permits have been approved or conditionally approved under the provisions of Clearwater County's Land Use Bylaw.

Anyone claiming to be affected by such decision may appeal the decision by serving written notice of appeal within twenty-one (21) days of the date of the decision.

 NOTICE is hereby given that the Development Officer or the Municipal Planning Commission of Clearwater County has approved the issuing of development permits for the following Permitted uses:

 Development Permit 101/24 Division 6 Colin and April Hummel for the placement of a manufactured home as the first residence on NE 23-37-04-W5M. Date of Decision: June 5, 2024

Development Permit 103/24 Division 5 Doug Cruickshank for the construction of an ancillary building on Plan 792 2931, Block 4, Lot 6 (Pt. SE 22-39-08-W5M). Date of Decision: June 5, 2024

 NOTICE is hereby given that the Development Officer or the Municipal Planning Commission of Clearwater County has approved the issuing of development permits for the following Discretionary uses:

Development Permit 95/24 Division 4 Mallory Tollenaar for the construction of a residence with an attached garage on Plan 812 3125, Block 2, Lot 1(Pt. NE 10-36-07-W5M). Date of Decision: June 6, 2024

Development Permit 104/24 Division 7 Darrell Misner for the construction of a dugout and operation of a commercial fish operation on Pt. SW 22-41-06-W5M. Date of Decision: June 6, 2024 

 Notice of appeal, accompanied by a $400.00 appeal fee, should be addressed to the Clerk, Subdivision & Development Appeal Board, Clearwater County. For more information on a specific application, or the decision, contact Clearwater County. Holly Bily, Dustin Bisson, Adrian Clarke, Dawson Connelly, Kim Gilham, Chrissy Leeper, and Amber Williams Development Authority
