Public Hearings


Public hearings are an opportunity for people who are affected by projects or proposals to address Clearwater County Council during regular Council meetings. Public hearing are required by the Municipal Government Act (MGA) as part of the adoption or amendment process for statutory plans, the Clearwater County's Land Use Bylaw, or as necessary.

Development Permit Approvals


The following development permits have been approved or conditionally approved under the provisions of Clearwater County's Land Use Bylaw.

Anyone claiming to be affected by such decision may appeal the decision by serving written notice of appeal within twenty-one (21) days of the date of the decision.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Development Officer or the Municipal Planning Commission of Clearwater County has approved the issuing of development permits for the following Permitted uses:

Development Permit 18/25 Ward 2 Blair and Julie Robertson for the construction of an addition to the existing detached dwelling on Plan 992 03334, Block 1, Lot 8 (Pt. NE 28-39-04-W5M). Date of Decision: February 14, 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that the Development Officer or the Municipal Planning Commission of Clearwater County has approved the issuing of development permits for the following Discretionary uses:

Development Permit 19/25 Ward 3 Tony Aspinell for the construction of a residential shop on Plan 872 1504, Block 1, Lot 1 (Pt. SW 31-38-06-W5M). Date of Decision: February 13, 2025

Notice of appeal, accompanied by a $400.00 appeal fee, should be addressed to the Clerk, Subdivision & Development Appeal Board, Clearwater County.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Development Officer or the Municipal Planning Commission of Clearwater County has approved the issuing of development permits for the following Discretionary uses:

Development Permit 9/25 Ward 1 Bradley OpdenDries and Emilee Speight for the construction of a residential shop on Plan 222 2005, Block 1, Lot 1 (Pt. NE 01-39-08-W5M). Date of Decision: January 28, 2025
