Public Hearings


Public hearings are an opportunity for people who are affected by projects or proposals to address Clearwater County Council during regular Council meetings. Public hearing are required by the Municipal Government Act (MGA) as part of the adoption or amendment process for statutory plans, the Clearwater County's Land Use Bylaw, or as necessary.

Development Permit Approvals


The following development permits have been approved or conditionally approved under the provisions of Clearwater County's Land Use Bylaw.

Anyone claiming to be affected by such decision may appeal the decision by serving written notice of appeal within twenty-one (21) days of the date of the decision.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Development Officer or the Municipal Planning Commission of Clearwater County has approved the issuing of development permits for the following Permitted uses:

Development Permit 48/25 Ward 5 Fred and Jacqueline Giles for the construction of a residence on Plan 042 2011, Block 2, Lot 3 (Pt. SE 18-36-06-W5M). Date of Decision: April 4, 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that the Development Officer or the Municipal Planning Commission of Clearwater County has approved the issuing of development permits for the following Discretionary uses:

Development Permit 22/25 Ward 4 Bob Doornebal on behalf of Tay River Resort Owners Corporation for the placement of ancillary buildings with variances for specific lots within the bare land condominium on Plan 832 2789, Block 1, Lot 2 (Pt. SE 30-35-085-W5M).  Date of Decision: March 31, 2025

Development Permit 28/25 Ward 5 Azonic Constructors Inc. for the construction of a commercial building on Plan 232 0829, Block 5, Lot 10 (Pt. E 27-40-15-W5M). Date of Decision: April 1, 2025
