Alberta's Municipal Government Act (MGA) lets citizens recall a Council member through a recall petition process. 

Those wishing to submit a recall petition under the parameters set out in the MGA should seek legal advice, when possible, to fully understand the extent of their obligations. 

When can a Notice of Recall Petition be submitted?

For the current term of Council, a notice of recall petition may be submitted between April 24, 2023 through December 31, 2024.
