To ensure a fair and equitable approach to compensating Council members for their time and commitment, remuneration is provided for attending meetings, conferences, training seminars, and other municipal and community events.
Council members are expected to fulfill their legislative responsibilities, including regular attendance at scheduled meetings. In the interest of equity, members will consider the time commitments of their peers when undertaking various roles. Council remuneration rates and benefits are reviewed alongside employee salary surveys conducted with comparable municipalities in Central Alberta.
