The County undertook the servicing of the northern portion of Stuart Street in 2010, in conjunction with running the new force main for the waste water system as well as the relocation of Martin Creek to the west of Stuart Street. It is the intention that a portion of land will be graded and serviced and made available for sale for commercial purposes. Alberta Wildfire has lifted the fire restriction in the Forest Protection Area (FPA).
A fire advisory in now in effect for all of Clearwater County.
Under this advisory: • Existing fire permits are valid, but extension requests may not be granted. • New fire permits will be issued on a case-by-case basis, for essential burning only.
Safe campfires are allowed under the fire advisory.
